Pastor Robert Scarborough, III
Pastor Rob was born in Richmond, Virginia on December 3, 1980, to Deacon Robert Scarborough, II and Evangelist Shirley Scarborough. He is the eldest of their three children, and has two younger sisters, LaShara Scarborough Foster and the late Francesca H. Scarborough. He is also the proud father of one loving son, Kamari.
At the age of six, Pastor Rob shared with his parents that God had anointed him to preach the Gospel. He was nurtured and guided by his pastor, the late Dr. Benjamin H. Peyton, and preached his first sermon at age eight. He was licensed to preach at the age of ten. He traveled and preached powerful, anointed messages all over with conviction and truth, and made television appearances. He attended and graduated from Henrico Public Schools.
Ministry
He also attended Browns Theological Seminary and Mt. Gilead Bible Institute. He is a faithful leader, world changer, visionary, and trailblazer who is always set for the defense of the Gospel. In June 2006, God birthed “The Truth of the Matter” broadcast and Pastor Rob’s yearning to bring the city back to the WORD. As a result, The Word Church International Ministries was established in October 2006. In 2018, “Warfare Wednesday” was formed, providing a platform for the community, nation, and world to be blessed and come into the knowledge of the Truth. Through this awesome man of God and his ministry, God has blessed many lives with salvation, healing, and deliverance. Jeremiah 3:15 states: “And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.” Pastor Robert Scarborough, III is certainly a man after God’s own heart, feeding the people with truth, knowledge, and understanding, a man of God, worthy of double honor..
